Are your meta tags poorly? Are they in desperate need of good
care and attention? Then, sir or madam, you have arrived at the
right place.
Meta tags are the first source of informoration the search engine
robots scan to categorize a web pages content. The title tag and
description tag enable a search engine to better guide a searcher
of a specific search phrase to a webpage closely relevant to that
specific phrase. So the title tag is considered important prioritized
criteria by the search engine robots and the description tag is
the text the search engine will use in your website's organic
listing. All important stuff!
For CMS (content mangement system) websites the meta tag data
is doubly important. CMS requires a lot of code that hinders organic
optimisation and the search engine robots have to wade through
this junk code like a child wearing wellington boots in a peat
bog. The meta tag should be seen first in the head section of
your webpages HTML code, thus the meta tags offer the opporunity
to impress upon the robots the true, visible content of your website
before the robots get bogged down in SEO redundant code.
The keyword meta tag is currently ignored by the Google robots,
however, I would pack your keyword meta tag with loads of content.
There are two reasons for this. One reason is Google may well
tweak their algorithm to again include if not prioritize the keyword
meta tag and were they to do that your website will drop from
its current organic placement. The second reason is the keyword
meta tag is a good place to shout about your websites content.
This is simply my thinking, but if you want to be heard, let alone
noticed, in a crowded room you will need to shout. Shouting at
the search engine robots makes sense to me. Although the robots
are currently programmed to ignore the keyword meta tag, when
scanning they have to notice it, if the tag contains any content
at all, that is. Packing the keyword meta tag with key phrase
content is perfectly legitimate, totally acceptable and will improve
your website’s organic listing position in Yahoo and Bing.
I'm happy to optimise your meta tags for my standard fee of £25
per hour.
